S4E9: Dan Grec – Jeep Rolled Over in Africa + How to Get out of a Ticket Abroad

What if your cars brakes failed and the Jeep rolled down a hill into a rock wall?

Dan was on a road trip in Africa in his Jeep when he decided to park it on a hill to get some pictures of the beautiful view, but little did he know, the Jeep’s brakes were going to fail and it would start to roll down the hill despite the e-brake being on. This is one of the many crazy driving experiences he has had during his travels around the world.

He has also nearly escaped a police ticket, faced numerous bribe requests by police officers, and had buses come straight at him on the wrong side of the road in Peru.

Dan Grec, an adventurer, writer, photographer & Snowboarder based in the Canadian Rockies, has successful driven the length of the Pan-American Highway from Alaska to Argentina and completed a 54,000 mile, 35 country circumnavigation of the African continent in his Jeep Wrangler Rubicon.
