We went into this episode planning on discussing Canada’s number 3 ranking for best quality of life… and ended up talking about lost pickles.
How did we get there you ask, and why pickles? Well listen to the full Episode 9: I Have a Philosopee Degree to find out! In this episode we hold true to our motto of “Learn a little, laugh a lot” because you will indeed find out about a couple of country rankings including quality of life and best overall countries of 2018, but you will laugh a lot at the crazy detours we take into my brain!
Looking at all these high ranking countries made us wonder what country would best suit our personalities, and what would be our “ideal” match. We took the assistance of a PlayBuzz quiz called “What country in the world best fits your Personality? to help us make the decision. To hear about our… interesting… results listen to episode 9! You too can take the quiz and let us know in the comments if the result you get actually fits your personality.
One very important question that we ponder in this episode is the concept of accents. I know this might seem like a thing that everyone might think about themselves, but I truly think that the both of us are neutral when it comes to accents. Meaning, we don’t have one. Do we?
Side Note: I am REALLY interested in knowing whether we sound like we have an accent from the ears of another person. Listen to Episode 9 and let us know in the comments if you detect an accent!!!!!
Aside from accents, we take a look at what aspects of different countries have made them rank higher (or sometimes lower) than they were in 2017. Such as Japan has moved up while the US has moved down (to find out where exactly you will have to listen to the full episode!). We also take a reminiscent stroll back to episode 2 and testing our knowledge about countries of the world (because having world knowledge is still important, even at episode 9!). So all you geography and country enthusiasts, don’t worry! You are included in our “Learn a little” for this episode 🙂
Now, this is not some NPR or documentary podcast so of course we must also consider the other half of our motto (Laugh a lot). And to do that we take you through a journey in my brain (sometimes a little to far). Get ready for some (a lot) of weirdness as you get a snippet of how my brain… sporadically… functions!
We explore USers, Pink Panther references, accents, walkie talkie- ing, nasal voices, having “philosopee” degrees, losing (and finding) pickles and much more!
